About Event
The Municipality of Swakopmund will be hosting the first ever Swakopmund New year’s celebration. Residents and visitors of Swakopmund are hereby invited to the upcoming New Year’s Eve Celebration scheduled to take place on:
Date: Wednesday, 31 December 2025
Event Time: 12h00 (noon) to 00h30, 01 January 2026
Location: Beach area next to the Paddock Gardens, Vineta, Swakopmund
Theme: NO Alcohol, Family-friendly fun
Fee: Free of charge – All are welcome
A brief fireworks display will form part of the festivities under the following details:
Start Time: 23:59 on 31 December 2025
Duration: Approximately 7–10 minutes
This controlled display is the only exception to Council’s ban on the private use of fireworks within Swakopmund; thus, a licensed professional pyrotechnics company will conduct the fireworks display and all relevant safety permits and protocols will be strictly adhered to.
